Reading the post and replies through the thread and I am thinking of my Russian and Slavic friends, some decidedly fair skinned, who have grown up in a culture of being turned out in the midafternoon to run naked in the snow for short periods then brought in, dressed and fed...less childhood sickness, seldom sunburned, and their babies aren't dying of cancer in toddlerhood. It's worth considering. Raising mine on the Florida beaches...no sunscreen. Sue me.
Feels like I have found a sanctuary. A gathering of people interested in health and well being, in life, who view food in a similar manner to my perspective, as a tool for longevity; I'm interested to learn more and live longer.
