I've wanted to live longer and help extend lives for as long as I can remember. Ever since I was a toddler. I have a decent amount of knowledge about aging related theories. I recently decided to take things to the next level and try calorie restriction, but I'm not sure how to do this.

Things are a bit tricky for me because I'm sensitive to fiber and very low normal/near-hypothyroid (I have Hashimoto's). Eating lots of fiber prevents my body from absorbing nutrients and causes excessive gas and nausea. I'm currently on thyroid replacement hormones. Slowing my metabolism any more than it already is causes medical issues and hypothyroidism symptoms.

I lead an active lifestyle. I work out around 6-8 hours per week and my workouts are pretty intense. I eat around 1600-1800 calories per day. I know that's relatively little given how active I am (I used to eat a lot more when my metabolism was more normal). I don't know if that's considered calorie restriction, but that's what I need to eat to maintain my normal body weight these days (Hashi/hypothyroid, sigh).
