Alex K Chen
Like... does eating sometimes contribute to further hunger if you "try" to stop eating after consuming 100-200 calories? sometimes i can fast for half a day and forget that i ate. but the moment i eat.. i can't stop until i'm full... and then by the end of it i eat 4-5 bags of lettuce. which certainly isn't good for my food costs. or my NPY levels.. Sthira
Yeah me, too. Easier to just close down the food gates completely rather than crack jaws open for some lettuce. If I decide I'm gonna fast for five days, I'll pretty much do it. But if, along the way, if I eat one little thing, no matter how minuscule, even one green pumpkin seed, then nope, fast's over, I'm done, back to ad libbing it again. Dean Pomerleau
Been there, done that, too. It is amazing how that happens. That's a big reason why I eat a very big breakfast, brush my teeth immediately after, and then don't eat again until the following breakfast (i.e. one meal per day). It makes it a lot less likely to slide down that slippery slope. --Dean
