I'm new to this site.  Tonight when I heard about Calorie Restriction Practitioners on the news, I was thrilled!  I've been following this practice for over 5 years.  I am a female and eat 1100 calories per day.  I allow myself one "cheat night", Saturday night when I eat and drink everything I want.  This has worked well for me.  I'm 5' 2 1/2" and weigh 116 pounds consistently.  I never never have to worry about "fat clothes", guilt and I'm very healthy with exception of genetic hyperlipidemia.   I swear by this lifestyle.  I also don't exercise because I spend my time on my career and learning, my two passions.

Hi Ladygirl,

Welcome! Glad you're having good results. Is CR affecting your lipids? (I'm assuming you're on some kind of drug therapy, though there's no need to divulge that if you don't want to).

Was the news story on NBC ...?
