FrederickSebastian
I know everyone says you should get at least 8 cups of plain water a day for health but I absolutely despise the taste of plain water. I am wondering if I put a cucumber in water and let it sit overnight will this count as my daily intake of water or does putting cucumber in it for flavor destroy the benefits? I am guessing I'll be fine. Also, does drinking green tea count as water intake? What about decaf green tea? Thanks!
TomBAvoider
I too find it hard to consume plain water. I'm fine with sparkling water. I see no issue with cucumber water, nor green tea unless you're super sensitive to caffeine.
mccoy
IMO, green tea and cucumber water are perfectly all right. Other ways to improve the taste of water: A few drops of lemon A very little stevia in it gives a floreal taste without being sweet
Saul
What's wrong with the taste of sink water is the chlorine. Cucumber overnight helps to get rid of that taste. -- Saul
Todd Allen
I didn't like the taste of our tap water and put in an under sink reverse osmosis filter system which resolved the issue for me.

drcha
Maybe you have tried it. Cucumber water is tasty. But you'll only need a small slice or two to flavor a lot of water.
FrederickSebastian
Yeah... for some reason I only like the taste of cucumber water when the skin is peeled... I know it's weird but it does taste different!!
