FrederickSebastian
Hi all, My goal is to be at 1,234 cals/day by the end of next year. Can I put in 20 mins of cardio twice a day and mild strength training or would that be too much? Thanks a million! Fred
mccoy
The answer is not easy since we don't know the calories which result in a constant bodyweight in your case. Too much of an energy deficit can overly impinge upon the bodyweight homeostasis, that is, may prevent further bodyweight loss.
Saul
Hi Sebastian! A vigorous exercise program is definitely important for longevity, whatever your level of calorie restriction. Ideally, vigorous aerobic exercise for at least 30 minutes daily. This is NOT something that you should do right away -- you should wean into it slowly. Maybe, moderate exercise for 20 minutes, twice per week, slowly increasing the load every few days (or week). -- Saul
