Saul
Hi Mike! I wouldn't put much stock in anyone's "Biological Age Calculator". -- Saul
Mike Lustgarten
Hey Saul, for someone with your level of academic experience, I'm shocked that you comment on things that you know nothing about.
Saul
Mike, No one has a meaningful "Biological Age Calculator". the reason is, no one knows what all the factors are, and which are most useful or not. In fact, we can be pretty confident that we don't know all relevant factors. And whats most relevent may (probably are) different for different people. So, the wisest approach is skepticism. The other possible approach is to be gullible, or decide you know "everything about" the subject. No one does. -- Saul
Mike Lustgarten
Again, you have no experience in that arena, you haven't read any papers about it, yet you try to talk about it as if you know something. Here are the papers for Levine's Phenotypic Age calculator (https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/labs/pmc/articles/PMC5940111/) and aging.ai (https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/29340580/). Educate yourself, then comment, or don't, if you prefer.
Saul
Maybe Levine is the new Messiah. 😀
