Sathid
Good day all, I am a newbie to CR (I literally started yesterday). I am using cron-o-meter to ensure I reach my daily nutritional requirements. I have a juicer and I use it for 2 of my daily "meals" but cron-o-meter does not show values for most fresh juice. It has values for bottled stuff but that is processed (even the organics are heated) so the values would not be the same. My question is should I just be imputting the raw whole food values for what I juice, or do the values for fresh juice differ from the whole foods themselves? Thank you in advance to anyone who answers.

It felt 'wicked' throwing away all that fibre and im sure/know it has a beneficial effect on the body. With the smoothies you use a good blender and of course drink the lot, so calorie countimg would be more precise. Just my thoughts and good luck with your Cr. Paul I just use whole fruits in the blender. I also have an accurate food scale. This way, I am able to input the mass of raw fruit into cronometer. I love it! I would love to use a juicer as a time saver and sometimes because I don't feel like chewing through several cups of veggies but I personally stay away from juicers. It is my understanding that juicing removes or reduces the fiber content that is naturally present in your food. Fiber normally slows down the processing of the carbohydrates in fruits and vegetables. Although I'm not a medical doctor I believe this will result in a greater spike in your blood sugar from a juiced "meal" as compared to a non-juiced meal which is not something you want.
