Guest Bethan
looking at the breakdown of my food intake I was rather alarmed to see virtually no vitamin D, and still got quite high protein level {from oats and 2 whole grain with seeds slices bread]At 60+, weight 125lbs; I need to keep up bone density. Please recommend foods. I cut down cheese and milk because of high protein intake. thanks
Saul
I'd say that the best way to get your vitamin D is by taking a Vitamin D supplement. That way, there's no danger from skin cancer (which is a risk if you get your D from sunlight). And it's difficult to ingest enough food that will supply your D from food -- it probably would cost quite a bit in calories. -- Saul
