How do sex hormone levels affect epigenetic aging rate?

Recommended Posts

https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC9980235/#:~:text=Higher testosterone and testosterone%2Festradiol ratio were associated with lower, younger epigenetic age in men

^but I suspect it's that more quickly aging people also have higher declines in sex hormones, so this has to be strateified between younger and older people...

Surprisingly, the authors of this new paper found that the density of these ARs was the most important determinant in putting on muscle and that actual levels of anabolic hormones don't play nearly as important a role.
