Guest bobby
Link to news article. Scientists from the University of Wisconsin-Madison have studied 76 rhesus monkeys. They found that just a 10% decrease in calories was enough. If I were a lazy person, would 10% be ok to start out with? Also, I don't mean to offend, but from an objective standpoint did caloric restriction accelerate Mr. McGlothin's hair loss? Or did it actually prevent a full-blown baldness? BrianMDelaney
Ten percent is not only OK to start out with, it is, in fact, probably good to start slowly! But, for the sake of science, and your own future benefit, we would recommend you see a healthcare professional and get some pre-CR "biomarkers" measured, even if they're just basic things like fasting blood glucose, lipid profile (cholesterol, etc.), and blood pressure. About Paul: That would be hard to know! We need a twin who wasn't on CR. Best, Brian
