drewab
Today was not my lucky day as I got bit by a dog out on a run. Then bite wasn't bad, but I did provoke me to visit a local clinic, and they recommended a tetanus shot as my most recent was just over 5 years prior. It didn't seem unreasonable, so I got one. Is there any action you would take to ensure on stathys healthy? I looked up rabies info and is extremely rare (less than 100 cases in the USA over the past 30 years). Thoughts? TomBAvoider
Tetanus seems a bit odd, but the bigger danger is infection and sepsis. Not as bad as a cat bite, mind you, and odds are nothing will happen, but you should watch the wound, and if it starts getting red and puffy, go have it checked out.
