Todd Allen
Ioannidis strikes again: Most healthcare interventions tested in Cochrane Reviews are not effective according to high quality evidence: a systematic review and meta-analysis Results Of 1,567 eligible interventions, 87 (5.6%) had high-quality evidence supporting their benefits. Harms were measured for 577 (36.8%) interventions. There was statistically significant evidence for harm in 127 (8.1%) of these. Our dependence on the reliability of Cochrane author assessments (including their GRADE assessments) was the main potential limitation of our study. Ron Put
Yep, and this was before the Covid madness which made things worse. I trust that things self-correct in the long run, it's just takes a really, really long run in some cases.
Todd Allen
I remember thinking the FDA and CDC failures to live up to their mission statements were due to the complexity of their tasks. But what I have witnessed suggests that at best they are not trying. Soon we will have approval for updated bivalent vaccines and probably coercion to take them despite no testing for safety or efficacy. We will be relying on VAERS to learn if this is a bad idea. The system they are responsible for which they have decided is so bad it is best ignored.
