Does anyone attend the World Stem Cell Summit/is it worth attending?

The Intersection of Regenerative Medicine and Healthspan

Not where we are – but where we are going

Healthspan refers to the period of life during which one enjoys good health and functional ability, without chronic diseases or disabilities. Regenerative medicine aims to repair, regenerate or replace damaged tissues and organs through the use of stem cells, bioengineering, and other novel approaches. Understanding this intersection of disciplines is critical for extending healthspan by enabling scientists and clinicians to tackle age-related diseases and injuries with more sophisticated, tailor-made solutions. By promoting tissue regeneration and immune function, regenerative medicine is helping to reduce the impact of injuries and illnesses that would typically limit the healthy lifespan of individuals. This Special Symposium, a track of presentations embedded into the World Stem Cell Summit program, will illuminate this intersection and thereby contribute to understanding of critical scientific research and medical care.
