(I can go without eating lunch, for example). I have the same experience - I can easily eat far less when not at home. Partly because of my high food standards (ie. when away, most things are not organic, have added oil, etc.), and partly because of stimulation from social situations, etc. In fact, when not at home I can often skip meals altogether.
