Reminds me of my great grandfather who drank whiskey in his morning coffee and then enjoyed a Very large glass of wine with his dinner. Lived to be 96. Anecdote, but research does support better outcomes for older people who drink, but moderately of course. Churchill lived To be Ninety and was overweight and a chain smoker. and he also boozed everyday. Both of them are/ were binge drinkers by all accounts.
